This paper presents a methodology for the full characterisation of a three-winding high-frequency transformer. The proposed approach is based on short-circuit and open-circuit tests, also using an impedance analyser to determine its electrical and magnetic parameters. The transformer under study is a prototype manufactured by the SIRIO company for on-board chargers of electric vehicles. In order to evaluate the proposed methodology, a comparative analysis has been carried out with several existing strategies reported in the literature. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed modelling of a three-winding high-frequency transformer was validated by comparing the co-simulation study using MATLAB and PLECS with experimental results.
