The study focuses on the S.I.M.G. quarry in Orosei, (Sardinia, Italy) which is located in Monte Tuttavista, where biomicritic limestone is extracted. Quarrying activities face challenges of stability and safety, which are addressed with innovative techniques. The objectives of this project include analyzing quarry face stability, optimizing production, and improving safety and environmental protection. The project is divided into four phases: collecting technical and regulatory data, conducting surveys with GPS, drones, and laser scanners, creating 3D models using AI algorithms and testing the dedicated platform on archaeological heritage for monitoring and preservation. This research aims to integrate technology and sustainability to enhance both mining and cultural heritage.
