Climate change presents an unprecedented global challenge that demands immediate and coordinated action. This paper examines the integration of spatial planning and geodesign methodologies for climate mitigation and adap-tation, focusing on the GD-CURE platform. Developed as an open-access tool, GD-CURE provides integrated multiscalar data from multiple sources across the Mediterranean, Italy, and specific regions (Sardinia and Basilicata) to support spatially explicit climate planning. While global and national climate mitigation strategies often overlook the spatial dimension, this platform offers a participa-tory and data-driven approach to bridge this gap. By integrating scenario sim-ulation, trade-off assessment, and stakeholder engagement, geodesign enhances the alignment of planning actions with decarbonization goals. The paper presents findings from an experimental workshop held in May 2025, highlighting the plat-form’s potential to foster spatial coherence and facilitate climate policy imple-mentation. The results emphasize the importance of multiscalar data integration and collaborative approaches in achieving effective climate resilience and carbon neutrality.

Abstract
The results emphasize the importance of multiscalar data integration and collaborative approaches in achieving effective climate resilience and carbon neutrality.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
