In order to check the stability of the slope on which the Cagliari Astronomical Observatory is situated, local network consisting of six vertices, indicated in the field by concrete stakes, was set up. All stakes are equipped with a forced centering device for measuring instruments consisting of a GPS for positioning of the points by means of satellite measurements and theodolites with geodimeters for positioning the same points with traditional geodetic measurements. The redundancy of measurements allows both calculation and adjustment by least squares method of the evaluation, by comparision, of the precision obtained in the distance measurements with GPS receivers.

Abstract
In order to check the stability of the slope on which the Cagliari Astronomical Observatory is situated, local network consisting of six vertices, indicated in the field by concrete stakes, was set up. All stakes are equipped with a forced centering device for measuring instruments consisting of a GPS for positioning of the points by means of satellite measurements and theodolites with geodimeters for positioning the same points with traditional geodetic measurements. The redundancy of measurements allows both calculation and adjustment by least squares method of the evaluation, by comparision, of the precision obtained in the distance measurements with GPS receivers.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
