SUMMARY - The Riola Sardo figurine with its hands on its chest - Among the many neolithic female statuettes found in Sardinia the Riola Sardo figurine has not been scientifically studied because it was listed among prenuragic and nuragic artifacts that were considered to be false. However, this statuette is stylistically and dimensionaly typical of Sardinian and continental neolithic statuettes. This statuette has been compared to other known statuettes from the period and this research concludes that the statuette is neolithic.
