Abstract

A main issue in recovering roads, in urban areas, as in rural sites, is to define in a broader sense its role. Roads are seen as a mere burden or a sever onus. Roads often act as a boarder, as a caesura. Transversal unions are prevented. Since it is a net line, a boarder, a road must be conceived, in primis, so as not to disrupt transversal interactions. Besides, a more sensitive idea of design must be aimed to conceive roads as a source of value for a site. A road can be a mean to create sense, so as to confer content to, and to structure, a landscape.
