Historically, Sardinia island paid a developmental delay in relation to other Italian regions. Using orthophotos produced by aerial shots of the 1954-55, 1968, 1977 and 2006, was attempted to perform the analysis concerning changes in the landscape and contextual socio-economic changes occurred in the island over the past 55 years.

Abstract
