The paper presents the results obtained from the morhologicsedimentological study of Chia beaches located in the Site of Community Importance (SCI) ITB 042230 “Porto Campana”. The research work was conducted within the framework of the research project Life+ Nature & Biodiversity – Providune(LIFE07NAT/IT/000519) (DE MURO et alii, 2009) using survey methodological standards with high resolution, defined and tested during the European Project Interreg IIIA GERER “Gestion intègrèe de l’environnement à haute risque d’èrosion” (DEMURO & DE FALCO, 2010). The aim was to describe coastal morphologies, define sedimentological and hydrodynamic characteristics and processes of the area and produce submerged and dry beach cartography in 1:5,000 scale.
