We investigated mitotic and meiotic chromosomes of Nephrops norvegicus utilizing c_ and Q- banding patterns. C-bands were localized in all centromeres and some large chromosomes were entirely C-positive. Moreover Q-banding evidenced brightly fluorescing blocks in centromeric and intercalary regions of some chromosomes.
