Abstract

Due its geographic position Sardinia region represents a distinctive territory where sun and wind can be exploited for the production of renewable energy. The innovative technology of concentrated photovoltaic is considered as possible technology for the solar resource available in Sardinia. The paper deals with the installation of 3 MW concentrated photovoltaic in Sardinia. The design criteria for electric design and energetic sizing, the specific regional authorization process, as well as the business cases to assess the payback time taking into account the current Italian renewable incentivizing decree are showed in the paper.
