This paper addresses the problem of stabilizing in finite time a scalar output variable σ having relative degree 3 with respect to the control input. This stabilization task is achieved for the first time by assuming that only the signs of σ, σ and σ are available. We refer to the triple integrator system, and by means of simulations we show that the proposed approach is also effective in the presence of bounded matched uncertainties.

Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of stabilizing in finite time a scalar output variable σ having relative degree 3 with respect to the control input. This stabilization task is achieved for the first time by assuming that only the signs of σ, σ and σ are available. We refer to the triple integrator system, and by means of simulations we show that the proposed approach is also effective in the presence of bounded matched uncertainties.File in questo prodotto:
