Riflessioni preliminari sul turismo rurale e lo sviluppo rurale sostenibile

The paper addresses the issue of rural tourism and its problems in the field of the sustainable tourism. The focus is on tourism in agricultural areas to see if they can find in the business of hospitality sufficient income support and continue agricultural production. Two studies, one Chinese and one European, are analyzed to identify a possible model both for study and management. Storytelling is seen as an interesting tool for the analysis of the dynamics of this type of tourism. An early identification of skills needed to fulfill this task complete these preliminary reflections whereas the public-private system of tour operators is considered the driver needed for its success.

Il lavoro affronta il tema del turismo rurale e delle sue problematiche, inquadrandolo all’interno della prospettiva del turismo sostenibile. L’attenzione è posta sul turismo nelle aree agrarie per capire se esse possono trovare in attività di ospitalità un’adeguata integrazione del reddito, mantenendo la produzione agricola come attività principale. Vengono analizzati due lavori, uno cinese e uno europeo, per individuare un possibile modello sia di studio che di gestione, mentre si individua nello storytelling uno strumento interessante di lettura e analisi delle dinamiche di questo tipo di turismo. Una prima individuazione delle competenze necessarie per realizzare questa attività completa queste prime riflessioni che indicano nel sistema pubblico-privato degli operatori turistici il driver necessario al suo successo.
