Abstract

The aim of this contribution was evaluating the quality of mother- infant relationship, in psychosocial risk conditions. Through a specific Anamnesthic and Socio-demographic Checklist, we selected 20 dyads with psychosocial risk factors and 20 dyads without any psychosocial risk condition. Infants’ mean age is 24.7 mothths, mothers’ mean age is 27.6 years. In order to evaluate maternal psychopathological risk and infants’ emotional-behavioral profile, SCL-90R and CBCL were administrated. The quality of interactive patterns has been explored through a video-recorded observation during feeding interactions. Results evidenced significant differences between groups. In psychosocial risk group, interconnections between maternal symptomatic profile, difficulties in infants’ emotional-behavioral regulation and interactive dynamics, which were defined by negative and hostile affects.
