The subject are the so-called upapadasamāsas analysed by relying on Pāṇini grammar. It deals with deverbal nouns which do not occur alone but always with by-words, i.e. combined as compounds. The different historical classifications of this kind of compounds is also here discussed in the general context of the w Western technical names borrowed from the Sanskrit Indigenous grammar.
