This paper is a description of the course on Automatic Measurement Systems (SAM), which is mandatory for the students pursuing the master’s degree in electronic engineering, known in Italy as Laurea Magistrale. The University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy has offered SAM once a year since 2011. We highlight and discuss the course proposal and objectives and the enhancement of the course provided by the IEEE IMS Faculty Award.
