An eco-friendly methodology for the direct alpha-sulfanylation of ketones, has been developed. The procedure, based on the use of functionalized diaryldisulfides and catalyzed by D,L-proline, represents a mild and efficient approach for the preparation of alpha-arylthio-ketones.

Abstract
