In the Mechanical Measurement laboratory of the University of Cagliari, together with other universities, they are studying some results relating to the use of E.R. strain gauges photo-etched to Davies’ bars. The use of such sensors in a partially bonded version is framed and presented in this study. The aim of this work is to verify the applicability of the partialization by means of experimental determinations, both in a static and dynamic condition. The Results drawn in a dynamic condition prove that the length of time of a free dynamic evolution of unbounded strain gauges is rather long, in the order of the ms and nearly unrelated to the dimension under stress.

Abstract
In the Mechanical Measurement laboratory of the University of Cagliari, together with other universities, they are studying some results relating to the use of E.R. strain gauges photo-etched to Davies’ bars. The use of such sensors in a partially bonded version is framed and presented in this study. The aim of this work is to verify the applicability of the partialization by means of experimental determinations, both in a static and dynamic condition. The Results drawn in a dynamic condition prove that the length of time of a free dynamic evolution of unbounded strain gauges is rather long, in the order of the ms and nearly unrelated to the dimension under stress.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
