Society Place Project. Learning from crisis = Società Luogo Progetto. Apprendere dalla crisi

The relationship Architecture-Society is so constituent that the essay chooses not to treat it in itself, but for comparison between phases characterized by important transitions or even breaks. The thesis is that only when it has been able to "interpret the crise" in a visionary and realistic way, the project has expressed itself in terms that will last. After the most critical decade of recent Western history, the thesis is tested by the local-global confrontation. Are we today "learning from the crisis"?

La relazione Architettura-Società è talmente costitutiva, che il saggio sceglie di non trattarla in sé, ma per confronto tra momenti caratterizzati da importanti transizioni o addirittura rotture. La tesi è che solo quando ha saputo “interpretare le crisi” in maniera visionaria e insieme realistica il progetto si è espresso in termini destinati a durare. Dopo un decennio tra i più critici della storia dell’occidente, la tesi viene messa alla prova dal confronto globale locale. Stiamo oggi “apprendendo dalla crisi”?
