This essay frames the role played by cinema and television in Sardinia, over the past forty years, in the preservation of the local language and its larger immaterial cultural heritage, increasingly threatened by forms of globalisation. To this end, the work offers the analysis of some emblematic case study from recent years. On the other hand, the essay also points to the potential ambiguity present in other linguistic forms, such as the uncritical use of audiovisual codes, which are inherently global, to preserve other cultural heritage.

Abstract
This essay frames the role played by cinema and television in Sardinia, over the past forty years, in the preservation of the local language and its larger immaterial cultural heritage, increasingly threatened by forms of globalisation. To this end, the work offers the analysis of some emblematic case study from recent years. On the other hand, the essay also points to the potential ambiguity present in other linguistic forms, such as the uncritical use of audiovisual codes, which are inherently global, to preserve other cultural heritage.File in questo prodotto:
