The aim of this work is to analyze the evolution of the PRC’s foreign policy in the 21st century, with particular reference to the affirmation of the idea of China as a “great responsible power”, as a tool for consolidating the central role that the country aspires to play on the international scene in order to achieve the so-called Chinese Dream of National Renewal and the creation of a “community of shared future for humanity”, which aims to constitute the basis of a more equitable and just system of international relations, in sharp contrast to the previous one.

Abstract
