Abstract — The influence of the quality of the teachers effort at work and the quality of the scholastic results is well documented. This research investigates the relationship between the perception of the factors of teachers job satisfaction and the quality of their organizational life. The objective is to identify, among the principal sources of teachers job satisfaction / dissatisfaction, those that are more able to foretell the presence / absence of stress and working uneasiness. The research has been carried out via the administration of three self-report questionnaires on teachers of primary and secondary schools of first degree in Italy. From the analysis it emerges that duty related dissatisfaction conditions the main dimensions of working uneasiness of the interviewed teachers: it is observed that the dissatisfaction connected to working conditions foretells emotional exhaustion; the dissatisfaction related to the relationship with students and parents has an effect on the depersonalization and on the reduced personal achievement that the interviewed teachers perceive at work.
