The article sets out the various alternatives and theoretical positions on the translation of poetic production, traditionally concerned with written poetry exclusively, avoiding, if not ignoring, the poetic materials created under the cover of orally improvised poetry. In this context, we propose a theoretical and practical evaluation of the traductological possibilities, or its opposite, of orally improvised poetry, discussing the problems arising from this attempt, such as the process of converting orality into writing through the transcription of the poetic discourse; or those emanating from its translation, taking into account that both of them are subjected not only to the poetic demand of metric and rhyme during the oral formulation, but also to the rule of improvisation, as exegesis of poetic creation.

Abstract
The article sets out the various alternatives and theoretical positions on the translation of poetic production, traditionally concerned with written poetry exclusively, avoiding, if not ignoring, the poetic materials created under the cover of orally improvised poetry. In this context, we propose a theoretical and practical evaluation of the traductological possibilities, or its opposite, of orally improvised poetry, discussing the problems arising from this attempt, such as the process of converting orality into writing through the transcription of the poetic discourse; or those emanating from its translation, taking into account that both of them are subjected not only to the poetic demand of metric and rhyme during the oral formulation, but also to the rule of improvisation, as exegesis of poetic creation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
