The authors present the results of psychometric research conducted in grammar schools in Rome. The random sample was represented by children from 8 to 12 years old. The Italian version of the C.D.I. was used. The data, examined through a statistical method, confirmed the validity of the questionnaire and brought to light the possibility of its use for rapid screening of children at risk for affective disorders.
