Italy, following the Covid-19 pandemic, has enjoyed a European reform and investment plan called the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Some of these reforms have an imminent impact on the archives world as they include the re-engineering of document flow, interoperability in file management and a ‘cloud first’ strategy, all under the sign of the principle of ‘do no significant harm’ to the environment. A specific section of the PNRR is then dedicated to the digitization of cultural heritage, with an investment package in which archives are personally involved. The article offers an overview of the funding that will invest the sector and some reflections on the impact these measures will have on the archival science.

Abstract
Italy, following the Covid-19 pandemic, has enjoyed a European reform and investment plan called the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Some of these reforms have an imminent impact on the archives world as they include the re-engineering of document flow, interoperability in file management and a ‘cloud first’ strategy, all under the sign of the principle of ‘do no significant harm’ to the environment. A specific section of the PNRR is then dedicated to the digitization of cultural heritage, with an investment package in which archives are personally involved. The article offers an overview of the funding that will invest the sector and some reflections on the impact these measures will have on the archival science.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
