Giuseppe Allievo and Carlo Uttini were among the first and most prominent scholars of Antonio Rosmini's pedagogy in the second half of the nineteenth century. Their own reception of the rosminian educational thought contributed to the spread of his work, which they tried to develop in multiple directions. The focus of this research is on the elements of Rosmini's pedagogy most enhanced by the two authors, their critiques, and the influence Allievo and Uttini exerted on the ensuing educational reflection.
