The aim of the article is to compare the communication practices of the Catholic Church during the pontificate of Pope Francis and the Evangelical Churches, especially the American ones, and to show how the different media used and their effectiveness depend on the historical, theological and organisational roots of Jesuitism on the one hand, and Calvinist-Puritan Protestantism on the other.
