Ignazio Fanni e il “Farmamuseo Sa Potecaria”: una testimonianza di quattro secoli di strumenti, preparati e ricerche del settore sanitario e farmaceutico

The Farmamuseo Sa Potecaria is an exemplary case of collecting in Sardinia: a wide collection of artifacts, tools, preparations and a precious library that relates centuries of history of pharmaceutical science and medicine. The collection, patiently enriched by the Sardinian pharmacist Ignazio Fanni throughout his life, is today an interesting reference in the field of medical museology. Born in the years of the Second World War, trained as a pharmacist, Ignazio Fanni firstly managed to obtain important evidence of the volution of medical disciplines for the museum, but he was also able to communicate in an ever-renewed way this important heritage: in the creation of the museum, with a didactic project, in the interviews.
