Abstract
20 years from the birth of the Dipartimento di Scienze Archeologiche e Storico-Artistiche at the University of Cagliari offer an important opportunity to think about the status of Christian Archaeology in Sardinia, a “young” subject in comparison with Prehistory and Greek and Roman Archaeology. So, I tried to follow the development of the Christian Archaeology, starting from the first discoveries, which appeared during the 16th century, when cuerpos santos (martyrs’ relics) were brought into light. At that moment, we can say that interest for early Christian people and their archaeological attestations was born. Going on to analyse the following period, I arrived until the present time, putting in evidence the different methodologies, together with the problems and the future prospects.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
