Over time, the Sardinian architectures of Nuragic culture have established a system of specialized sites that share a common construction code. These forms, allocated to diverse functions, incorporate multiple archaic principles for contemporary design, including their remarkable massive nature. This substantial characteristic is driven by a construction method consisting of enormous stone blocks, which impart a sense of permanence and eternity to these structures. Specifically, this paper delves into some paradigmatic examples of nuraghi. These structures, defined by the outline of a basic solid and the deliberate arrangement of stone, employ a circular geometry, emblematic of both a construction necessity and an architectural intent (Mossa, 1979). Additionally, sacred water architectures, wells, and sacred springs are examined, revealing architectural sensitivity in their degree of technical refinement. In these structures, the precise stone arrangement recreates a mysterious spatial ambiance through ancient geometries of stone, water, and light. Furthermore, the giant tombs are explored, wherein the self-supporting formal structure of the mound transforms the existing material through the fundamental operations of excavation and backfilling.

Abstract
Furthermore, the giant tombs are explored, wherein the self-supporting formal structure of the mound transforms the existing material through the fundamental operations of excavation and backfilling.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
