Wooden buildings are increasingly used also in locations with Mediterranean weather where the climatic component plays a fundamental role for the performance requested by buildings. The energy efficiency of these buildings must be obtained, according to Italian legislation, complying with acoustic performance requirements. This work aims to analyse and correlate the acoustic parameters with energy performance of timber buildings built in the Mediterranean climate by the use of the potential of BIM models.

Abstract
