Rispondenza Fiduciaria

In this essay, using the tools of game theory and behavioral economics, after analyzing the defining characteristics of a trusting interaction, and discussing the main economic explanations of trusting and trustworthy behaviors we present the results of an experiment designed to test the principle of “trust responsiveness” that we believe can contribute more accurately than alternative theories to account for the peculiar nature of trusting relationships. Finally, we will discuss the institutional and organizational implications arising from this perspective.

In questo saggio, utilizzando gli strumenti della teoria dei giochi e dell’economia comportamentale, dopo aver analizzato le caratteristiche definitorie di una interazione fiduciaria, e discusso le principali spiegazioni di natura economica dei comportamenti fiduciosi e affidabili presentiamo i risultati di un esperimento progettato per testare il principio di “rispondenza fiduciaria” che crediamo possa contribuire in maniera più accurata delle teorie alternative a dar conto della peculiare natura delle relazioni fiduciarie. Infine, discuteremo le implicazioni istituzionali e organizzative che derivano da tale prospettiva.
