Nuove aggiunte al catalogo di Pantaleone Calvo. Un pittore genovese nella Sardegna del Seicento

Namesake other than relative of the famous sixteenth-century Genoese frescoer, Pantaleone Calvo worked in Sardinia between the second and the third quarter of the seventeenth century. The few studies dedicated to Genoese painting in Sardinia considered him only marginally, yet his career probably took place almost entirely in the Island. The Author proposes here for the first time the catalogue raisonné of the painter in the light of the most recent discoveries on the field.

I pochi studi finora dedicati alla pittura genovese in Sardegna lo hanno considerato soltanto marginalmente, eppure la sua carriera si svolse, con tutta probabilità, quasi interamente sull’Isola. L’Autore intende qui proporne per la prima volta un catalogo ragionato alla luce delle più recenti scoperte sul campo.
