In recent years, the spatial perspective has become a particularly useful tool in youth studies for examining topics such as young people’s transition to adult- hood, identity formation, the transition from education to the labour market, political participation, and family and emotional relationships. Acknowledging the analytical relevance of this approach, this article aims to contribute to the study of the various forms of youth agency in relation to international geo- graphical mobility opportunities within the European Union. Drawing on two recent research projects which employed in-depth interviews to explore the in- ternational mobility experiences of young Italians aged 23-34, the article identi- fies four distinct mobility approaches, emphasising their dynamic character and the spatial and discursive dimensions that bridge Europe and Italy. The results show that mobility is an experience that is both individual and institutional, intertwining personal aspirations, structural constraints, and public policies

Abstract
The results show that mobility is an experience that is both individual and institutional, intertwining personal aspirations, structural constraints, and public policies| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
