The heterogeneous nature of childhood feeding and eating disorders, with different etiologies and outcomes, is now recognized and, consequently, the importance of planning targeted and specific treatments. The developmental trajectories shed light on the relationship of feeding disorders of early childhood to eating disorders of later childhood and adolescence, provide further support for prevention and early life intervention efforts and suggest that treatment at younger ages may also have potential to reduce the risk for disorders later in development.

Abstract
The heterogeneous nature of childhood feeding and eating disorders, with different etiologies and outcomes, is now recognized and, consequently, the importance of planning targeted and specific treatments. The developmental trajectories shed light on the relationship of feeding disorders of early childhood to eating disorders of later childhood and adolescence, provide further support for prevention and early life intervention efforts and suggest that treatment at younger ages may also have potential to reduce the risk for disorders later in development.File in questo prodotto:
