Religiosity as a Universal Dimension : A Ricoeurian Journey Between West and East · This contribution aims to re-explore the idea of religiosity as a constitutive and universal dimension of the human experience, developing a path between two very different religious and cultural traditions – Christianity and Buddhism – following the philosophical and spiritual journey of Paul Ricoeur. This work will examine how the dimension of religiosity is rooted in Ricoeur’s anthropology and what space of concordance it finds with the vision of Japanese philosopher Daisaku Ikeda, who shares both a comparable existential and spiritual journey and a vision of humanity that recognizes the centrality and depth of religious aspect in human beings.
