Il Fondo Manoscritti dell’Archivio Storico e Biblioteca Studi Sardi del Comune di Cagliari. Formazione, evoluzione e metodi descrittivi

This contribution reconstructs the formation, evolution, and descriptive practices of the Manuscripts collection of the Historical Archive and Library of Sardinian Studies of the Municipality of Cagliari, now preserved at the Mediateca del Mediterraneo. Through an analysis of archival sources, inventories, and later annotations, it retraces the acquisitions, dispersals, and rearrangements that occurred over the course of the twentieth century. Particular attention is devoted to the descriptive criteria adopted, their limitations, and the transformations introduced by the archivist-librarians who succeeded one another at the helm of the institution.

Il contributo ricostruisce la formazione, l’evoluzione e le modalità descrittive del fondo Manoscritti dell’Archivio Storico e Biblioteca Studi Sardi del Comune di Cagliari, oggi conservato presso la Mediateca del Mediterraneo. Attraverso l’analisi delle fonti archivistiche, degli inventari e delle annotazioni successive, si ripercorrono le acquisizioni, le dispersioni e i riordini intervenuti nel corso del Novecento. Particolare attenzione è dedicata ai criteri descrittivi adottati, alle loro criticità e alle trasformazioni introdotte dagli interventi degli archivisti-bibliotecari che si sono succeduti alla guida dell’istituto.
