In this essay, this conceptual horizon is taken into consideration to describe and critically analyze the adjustment processes of the local plans of the Sardinian municipalities to the Regional Landscape Plan. The proposed discussion puts in evidence that the sustainable development paradigm integrated into the adjustment process of the plans is very effective to identify negative and positive aspects of the implementation of SEA in the Sardinian Region. The latter should be considered good practices easily exportable to other regional planning contexts.
