After a brief history of the noble family of Sardinian Catalan-Aymerich and an analysis of the original collection of documents and books of ancient lineage, now kept in several archives in Cagliari, this essay describes the trade network that developed between Sardinia and Spain in the 15th and 16th centuries. In particular, it focuses on the business started by this illustrious family with merchants and businessmen of Barcelona, Valencia and Majorca, offering a short review of documents originating from the first of the three parts of the section of the Aymerich Fund in the State Archives of Cagliari. It consists of a set of 1,256 units, containing various documents dated between 1484 and 1561.
