The sudden drop of water level in the Monte Pranu artificial lake of Tratalias (CI), which occurred between the summer and autumn of 2008, has brought to light an extensive archaeological multi-layered complex, with remains dating from the Prenuragic age to the Middle Ages. The study focused on the remains of a settlement of the Monte Claro Chalcolithic facies, characterized by exceptionally well preserved structures. The excellent readability of the archaeological remains for a very large area, has allowed us to make some general remarks in order to the topographical, planimetric and structural features, that contribute to significantly increase our knowledge about the organization of living spaces in the middle and final stages of the Copper age in the island.

Abstract
The sudden drop of water level in the Monte Pranu artificial lake of Tratalias (CI), which occurred between the summer and autumn of 2008, has brought to light an extensive archaeological multi-layered complex, with remains dating from the Prenuragic age to the Middle Ages. The study focused on the remains of a settlement of the Monte Claro Chalcolithic facies, characterized by exceptionally well preserved structures. The excellent readability of the archaeological remains for a very large area, has allowed us to make some general remarks in order to the topographical, planimetric and structural features, that contribute to significantly increase our knowledge about the organization of living spaces in the middle and final stages of the Copper age in the island.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
