The Article treats critically the concept of Individual hoping for its getting over, which can allow us to think the society not like a mere sum of single individuals. The author points out that the overcoming of such concept is already present in Hegel's philosophy and afterwards in the thinkers of the pragmatic turn in the philosophy of language in the second half of the twenty Century (Wittgenstein, Quine, Sellars and Austin). These thinkers share the idea that the thought cannot treated as a lonely faculty, but as the result of the interpersonal relations. Finally the article analyses the resent theories of the social Ontology, particularly Hans Bernhard Schmid and Raimo Tuomela, who propose to consider the concept of "We" pre-reflective and founding in comparison with the concept of "I".
