An existing analysis technique, applicable only to linear waveguide slot arrays, has been extended to compute the frequency response of a complete planar slot array. The devised approach is a direct one and therefore significantly more efficient than already existing iterative procedures. The proposed approach is able to take into account also the frequency response of the coupling slots used in the beam forming network. The proposed technique has been validated through comparison with a commercial general-purpose CAD program.

Abstract
