The most important conclusion of this study is that the DA system may have an important role in sleep and wakefulness mechanisms in man. The present results indicate the possibility of influencing normal and psychotic behavior by using drugs that act on a special kind of DA receptor. This might constitute the basis for the development of more potent and selective stimulants and blockers of these receptors.

Abstract
The most important conclusion of this study is that the DA system may have an important role in sleep and wakefulness mechanisms in man. The present results indicate the possibility of influencing normal and psychotic behavior by using drugs that act on a special kind of DA receptor. This might constitute the basis for the development of more potent and selective stimulants and blockers of these receptors.File in questo prodotto:
