The results of new measurements of J/psi --> <n(n)over bar> and J/psi --> <p(p)over bar> performed by the FENICE experiment are reported. The relative phase phi, between the strong and the electromagnetic decay amplitudes, is achieved from the branching ratios J/psi --> <N(N)over bar> and from the nucleon form factors measurements near the J/psi. It turns out phi = 89 degrees +/- 15 degrees, in agreement with other J/psi, decay amplitudes. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
