Abstract

Quotations and allusive reminiscences of Lucan, Virgil, Ovid and other classic and medieval poets are skilfully weaved in the Narracio de mirabilibus urbis Rome. They often consist in the recovery of passages concerning statues or other artistic objects, aimed at the description of the pagan Romain remains admired by the Author.
