Connectors create intratextual bonds. Basing on a corpus from the “Digitales Wörterbuch der deutschen Sprache des 20. Jahrhunderts“ (Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften – Berlin), and the Handbuch der deutschen Konnektoren (HDK) recently published by the IDS of Mannheim, the paper takes aim at describing those connectors which are also logonims (metalinguistic words). The translation of the examples gives the possibility to discuss about the presence of the „logonim“ in italian, and about the differences between the two languages.
