We present the latest available data on migration flows of graduates across Italian regions for the years 2000-2013 and the figures relating to international migration flows during the period 2004-2013. The analysis reveals two disturbing data: on the one hand the dramatic situation for the South in relation to the drainage of human capital represented by graduates to both Centre-Northern regions of Italy and abroad, on the other the loss of graduates for the Centre-Northern regions determined international emigration

Abstract
