In memoriam. La Cerdeña de Luigi Snozzi (1932-2020)

This text describes Luigi Snozzi's architectural experience in Sardinia, an event that lasted twenty years and was characterised by his participation in the activities of the two new schools of architecture in Sardinia, Alghero and Cagliari, and by a number of projects. Among these, the Carbonia Intermodal Centre and the guiding project for a model of coastal tourist village are particularly illuminating of his way of understanding architecture, the city and the landscape, and have left an immense cultural legacy on the island.

Questo testo descrive l’esperienza architettonica di Luigi Snozzi in Sardegna, una vicenda durata vent’anni e che si è connotata con la partecipazione alle attività delle due nuove scuole di architettura della Sardegna, Alghero e Cagliari, e con alcuni progetti. Tra questi, il Centro Intermodale di Carbonia e il progetto guida per un modello di Villaggio Turistico costiero appaiono particolarmente illuminanti del suo modo di intendere l’architettura, la città e il paesaggio e lasciano nell’isola un’immensa eredità culturale.
