We investigated the effects of ultrasonic irradiation (UI) on nanoporous (NP) Au structures fabricated by dealloying. To this aim, we leaned an ultrasonic horn against the sample surface and carried out experiments at different temperature. We found that UI induces coarsening, analogously to the process driven by annealing.

Abstract
