Investigation of supercritical CO2 extraction and CO2 mixture with "modified" co-solvent (10%) as an environmentally friendly technology for the extraction of bioactive compounds from fresh and dried leaves of Pistacia lentiscus. The different Pistacia lentiscus leaves extracts were obtained at 150 bar, 45 degrees C, the ethanol and water were utilized as co-solvents to support the polarity of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (SFE-CO2). The extraction efficiency, chemical compositions, total phenols and flavonoids content, antioxidants and antimicrobials activities have been compared using the both approach the pure CO2 and modifier CO2, for the fresh and dried Pistacia lentiscus leaves. As results, concerning the extraction yield, chemical composition, and total polyphenol and flavonoid content exhibited significant variations. As well as the SFE-CO2 extracts modified by water showed important antioxidants activity compared to simple SFE-CO2 extraction. In adverse the pure SFE-CO2 extraction showed important antimicrobials activity compared to the SFE-CO2 extracts modified by co-solvent.

Abstract
In adverse the pure SFE-CO2 extraction showed important antimicrobials activity compared to the SFE-CO2 extracts modified by co-solvent.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
