The relationship between entrepreneurship and the integration of migrants is at the centre of international debate because the growing propensity of migrants to start businesses does not always intersect with a virtuous path of economic and social integration. Empirical evidence on this issue is scant and inconclusive. Following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol and combining records from the Web of Science and Scopus databases, this study conducts a systematic literature review regarding quantitative empirical research addressing the relationship between entrepreneurship and migrant integration through a bibliometric analysis. A sample of 33 articles published between 2002 and 2023 was selected and thoroughly scrutinized. By tracking the evolution of citations and empirical methods over time and identifying the most influential variables, countries, and networks, our research highlights the main findings and contributes to an updated assessment of the empirical evidence from the last 25 years.
